Lost Preview: The Last Recruit

That’s the best lost promo this season. There is a clip of Desmond in this promo, and it looks like Sayid is trying to shoot him.

The centricity of this episode seems to be a secret. I’m not sure who it would be. The last episode ended with Locke being hit and the on island story is supposed to be about Jack and Locke coming together. So I think it would make since that the off island storyline would follow a story in which Locke and Jack meet at the hospital. Locke will have seen the other world and he will try to convince the man of science that this other world exists. I think this would be fitting because it could parallel the on island story and the whole Jack vs. Locke debate.

It might not be a Locke or Jack episode because they have already had their episodes this season. I would like to see a Claire episode sometime soon, she hasn’t had one yet, it seems like mst of her story was told in the Kate episode though.

Lost Preview: Eveybody Loves Hugo

Alright so this flash-sideways should deal with how Hurley is lucky from the lottery and whatnot. Maybe he will end up with Libby in this reality, she is supposed to be returning to the show this season. I also hope that we see the result of last week’s Desmond episode if not in this episode, in the next. We know he is trying to round everyone up to tell them what he has learned. But, I predict that this might be touched on at the end of the episode if in this episode at all.

I’m not sure what is going to happen on the island in this episode, but it seems like Hurley is going to step up and I’ve heard there will be a lot of explosions, which is a good sign. And obviously, Michael is returning, he’s in the promo. I wonder how many other dead people we will see and if anyone will die in this episode.

Lost Preview: The Package

So this week”s episode is called “The Package” and it is a a Jin/Sun episode. So, we should get the sideways story as to what happened between the time Jin got in trouble at the airport in “LA X” and the time in when Sayid finds him in Keamy’s freezer. So I’m predicting that Sun cannot speak English and maybe Sun and Jin aren’t married in the sideways reality.

On the island, the title makes me think that we may find out what is in the locked room in Widmore’s sub. I know that the story will involve Locke and Widmore’s fated meeting and of course it will focus on the prolonged reunion of Sun and Jin. I think Jin and Sun will reunite at the end of this episode or during the next episode. There is a shot of Sun laying in the jungle, in the promo. It looks like she is dead, but I think it is a cop out.

Lost Preview: Ab Aeterno

This episode is gonna be awesome because 1.) Its the first ever Richard Alpert episode! and 2.) It’s six minutes longer then usual! Judging by this promo, it looks like this episode will give a couple answers. I have a feeling that this could be the episode where we start to learn about the flash-sideways and how it relates to the island storyline.

We should learn about Ricard’s backstory, maybe we will even get to see him arrive on the black rock! If Ricard Alpert has a flash-sideways storyline my head might explode.

According to Wiki Ab Aeterno is a Latin phrase that translates to “Literally, “from the everlasting” or “from eternity”. Thus, “from time immemorial”, “since the beginning of time” or “from an infinitely remote time in the past”. In theology, often indicates something, such as the universe, that was created outside of time.” So, I guess we should find out some pretty big details about the show’s mythology. This should be good.

Lost: Sundown – Preview

This season, Lost has been following a pattern. The order of the character-centricity from episode to episode has mirrored that of season one. If this next episode follows that pattern that would mean it would have to be a Sun-centric episode and judging by the episode title (Sundown)  that is a pretty safe bet to make. The first Sun-centric episode title played with a similar pun, “House of the Rising Sun”. It’s difficult to speculate anything about this episode from the title beyond who it is about.

So far, the flash-sideways  storylines have been focusing how things are different for the passengers of 815. They usually deal with why the characters were on the plane. So I suppose Sundown will deal with the relationships between Jin, Sun, and Sun’s father.

We haven’t seen the flash-sideways Jin and Sun since the season premiere. In customs, Jin and Sun had some problems. The officials found some undeclared stacks-o-cash and Sun wouldn’t help explain anything. Well, now that we know that a lot of  radically different things happen in this sideways reality, I predict that we will find out that Sun did not learn English. One of the officials refers to Sun as “Ms. Kwon”, so maybe Jin and Sun are not even married.

Judging by the promo, I think we should be seeing a lot of Sayid in this episode. It looks like Locke’s team is going to meet up with the temple people in this episode and that should make for a pretty interesting episode.

Lost: The Lighthouse-Preview

This season so far, has followed the same pattern of episode centricity (that is probably not a word) as that of the first season. The two part premiere this season corresponds with the two part pilot in season one. All four of those hours of Lost are dedicated to multiple characters. Then came What Kate Did which corresponds with the Kate-centric episode, Tabula Rasa, the second episode of season one. Then last week was a Locke-centric episode, like Walkabout. If this pattern continues that would mean that The Lighthouse is a Jack-centric episode. Judging by what happened in What Kate Did, and assuming that The Lighthouse will pick up the story from the end of that episode, we will be dealing a lot with whatever is has happened to Claire/ what is happening to Sayid. This seems quite fitting seeing as the first Jack-centric episode in season one, White Rabbit, is the episode in which Jack sees his dead father walking on the island. (Crazy prediction: Maybe the reason Christian Shephard is walking on the island is because he is from the off-island reality.) I hope we get to see Christian Shephard this episode, and I feel there is a good chance of that happening. There are a lot of questions I have about him. Like: Has he been “claimed” the same way Claire and Sayid are? How is he alive? Is he alive? And, can he speak for Jacob as he says? Hopefully The Lighthouse will shed some light on some of these issues (haha, that was an accident.)

The lighthouse is a Christian symbol, because it shows the way as Jesus Christ does. Wiki says that lighthouses symbolize the public good, safety, and male fertility. (Maybe this episode will deal with the island’s baby-making problems? Probably not.)

I think Jack is in the lighthouse when he smashed that mirror with an axe. I think there will be an actual lighthouse in this episode, but there will be another meaning to the title. Hopefully the losties will find so direction in The Lighthouse, because they seems to not know a thing about what is going on, what their destiny is. I guess we’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see.

Lost: The Substitute- Preview

I have a feeling that tonight’s episode will be the best episode of season six so far. It is Locke-centric – I feel that should be enough proof. I was over at a friend’s house and when he was setting his recording for this episode, I saw the list of actors in the synopsis and I was surprised to see one name. I won’t ruin who it was, but they have had much aur time on Lost and didn’t expect to see them again.

The title (The Substitute) may refer to the 1996 film of the same. I read a summary of the film on wiki and the only connection between the two I could see was that the both involve people going undercover to attack someone. The title likely also refer to the idea that Locke’s dead body was used as a “proxy” or substitute for Christian Shepherd’s dead body on Ajira 316. Or that Locke’s body is now a substitute body for the Man-In-Black. Maybe we will find out that Christian Shepherd was also a substitute body for the Man-In-Black, just a crazy theory.

Well, we will find out in a matter of hours just what this episode is about.

Check back late tonight or early tomorrow to read my recap of “The Substitute” (The Lost episode, not the film from 1996).
